Plan your sessionFamily sessions are my favourite. There's something special about watching a family just be themselves: the chaos, the cuddles, the way your kids make you laugh even when they're driving you up the wall.
I don't do stiff, posed portraits. I follow your family's lead, get down on the floor with the kids, tell terrible jokes to earn a real smile, and wait for the moments that actually feel like you.
Not sure your lot will sit still? They don't need to. The best family photos usually happen when everyone forgets the camera's there, and that's exactly what I'm after.
Good to know: the light is softest in the hour or so before sunset, so I'll often suggest that window. We'll pick a time that works around naps and mealtimes too.
